Houjicha powder is a powder made from roasted green tea leaves, grown and refined in Japan. It comes from a Kyoto tea producer which uses only good quality tea leaves to make the powder. The roast level is medium.
Houjicha lacks the bitterness of matcha and tastes toasty and nutty, lightly sweet. The powder has about 10 times less caffeine compared to matcha and is suitable also for evening drink. Houjicha powder can also be used to make ice cream, latte drink, biscuits, cakes, etc.
Keep the unopened bag in refrigerator, once opened, in room temperature.
